Celebrating its first anniversary, Alila Solo hosted a special dinner titled “Taste of Sulawesi”. Held at the Presidential Suite that boasts the skyline of Solo, the dinner took Sulawesi flavors to the fine dining scene courtesy of Chef Petty Elliott, the hotel’s Guest Chef in Residence. Among the dishes presented that night were Ikan Gohu from North Sulawesi
as the appetizer, and Soto Makassar and Es Pallu Butung from South Sulawesi for the third and final courses respectively. The dinner was made even more special as each dish was paired beautifully with fine wine, including Matua Sauvignon Blanc from Australia and Bottega Amore Moscato from Italy. The touch of Sulawesi was even more authentic as the dinner was accompanied by the sounds of traditional Sulawesi musical instruments, performed live by a trio of musicians.
